With every passing day it seems increasingly likely that Italian super club Juventus will let go of their talented Brazilian left back Alex Sandro, with the player being heavily linked with a move to Premier League giants Chelsea.

Should that move materialise it would leave Juventus in need of a replacement fullback, and the Old Lady are reportedly eyeing Atletico Madrid’s Filipe Luis, according to the Guardian.

The Brazilian international is now in his seventh season as a stalwart in the Rojiblancos’ defence that is famed for its intensity and physical prowess. Chelsea fans will remember his single season spell at Stamford Bridge back in 2014, but it is in Madrid where he has established himself as one of the world’s foremost left backs.

At 32-years of age, Luis has bags of experience to bring to a Juventus side that already boasts arguably the most formidable back line in world football. Juve have won the Serie A for the last six season in a row, and much of their success has been built around a stingy defence.

In this campaign the Bianconeri face a tough test if they are to retain their league title, and they currently sit third in the table, four points behind leaders Napoli. Perplexingly Juve have the worst defensive record in the top four at present, and will be hoping that Luis can get them back on track.
