French midfielder Adrien Rabiot is edging closer to Paris Saint-Germain departure.

The 23-year-old netted four goals in 49 competitive outings with French champions this season, while also grabbing seven assists. He suffered a dip in form after the Champions League elimination however and has been widely tipped to leave Paris this summer.

Serie A champions Juventus were thought to be leading the line for his signature but Napoli are now a prospect Rabiot himself would love to join.

“If Carlo Ancelotti is there, I’ll immediately say yes to Napoli”, Rabiot told the Italian media.

Ancelotti could make a move for his former player in attempt to secure a direct replacement for Marek Hamsik who’s been linked with a big-money China move.

Rabiot has reportedly already instructed his representatives to push through a deal with the Partenopei and could be leaving for Italy at earliest occasion.

The Frenchman pulled himself out of the French standby squad list for the World Cup, refusing to act as a substitute for Didier Deschamps’ 23-man World Cup squad list.
